Travel Itinerary

Day 1: Cochin Arrival and Sightseeing 

Upon arrival at Cochin Airport or Ernakulam railway station, you will be transferred to your hotel. Spend the afternoon exploring Cochin, known as the Queen of the Arabian Sea. This city boasts one of the finest natural harbors in the world and has a rich history of trade with the British, Chinese, Portuguese, and Dutch. Key attractions include the Dutch Palace, Jewish Synagogue, Jewish Street, St. Francis Church, and the iconic Chinese Fishing Nets. Overnight stay in Cochin.

Day 2: Cochin to Munnar 

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Munnar, a journey of about 4 hours. Munnar, located 1600 meters above sea level at the confluence of three mountain streams (Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni, and Kundale), was once the summer resort of the British government in South India. En route, enjoy waterfalls and scenic spots. Upon arrival, check into your hotel. Visit the Tea Museum to learn about the history of tea plantations (entry fee: Rs. 125 per adult, open until 5 pm). Flora enthusiasts can visit the Floriculture Centre, also known as the Rose Garden, which features over a hundred varieties of flowers and herbal plants (entry fee: Rs. 30 per person, open from 10 am to 5 pm). Overnight stay in Munnar.

Day 3: Munnar Sightseeing 

After breakfast, spend the day sightseeing in Munnar. Visit the Mattupetty Dam, Kundale Lake, and Echo Point. In the afternoon, proceed to Rajamalai to see the rare Nilgiri Thars (mountain goats). Overnight stay in Munnar.

Day 4: Munnar to Alleppey 

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Alleppey, a journey of about 4 hours and 50 minutes. Upon arrival, embark on an enchanting overnight backwater cruise in a traditionally decorated houseboat. Check-in time is 1:00 PM, and the cruise starts with lunch. While cruising, enjoy views of Chinese fishing nets, paddy fields, local coir-making activities, rustic homes, ancient temples, and swaying coconut groves. Meals will be served on board. Overnight stay on the houseboat.

Day 5: Departure 

After breakfast, check out from the houseboat or hotel and drive to Cochin Airport or railway station for your departure, feeling content with the wonderful holiday you spent in God's Own Country.
